We’re thrilled to share that Autism Family Support, with the support of Autism World CIC, recently hosted a vibrant summer picnic. This joyful gathering brought together autistic individuals and their families for a memorable day filled with fun, relaxation, and connection.
Held in a beautiful local park, the event was blessed with sunshine and the sounds of laughter filling the air. Families enjoyed a wide range of inclusive activities, from sensory-friendly games to arts and crafts, designed to cater to all ages and needs. The picnic provided a welcoming space for families to bond, create lasting memories, and take a break from the daily routine while connecting with others who share similar experiences.
Highlights of the day included:
Group games and activities: An array of activities, including relay races, ball games, and sensory play zones, ensured everyone had something fun to participate in.
Creative corner: Families and children engaged in arts and crafts, creating colorful masterpieces and enjoying moments of creativity and expression.
Picnic feast: Families brought delicious homemade meals to share, gathering to enjoy a community meal filled with stories and laughter.
This event not only provided a day of enjoyment but also reinforced the strong sense of community within Autism Family Support. We are deeply grateful to everyone who attended and helped make this day so special!
